Starting on an ESB
Published May 18th, 2005 in Progress, ArchitectureMy latest project is just starting to get up to speed and it looks probable that it’s going to give me my first opportunity to build an Enterprise Service Bus. It’s still too early for me to be completely clear on the architecture we’re going to implement, but I’m getting torn into David Chappell’s Enterprise Service Bus and have been enjoying the conversations bouncing around on the PEG on architecture and distributed transactions. My first thoughts are that an ESB approach is going to have a series of repercussions for the underlying applications which I’m trying to connect. I intend to give some time to writing more about this just as soon as I’ve grokked it.
