Collaborative Art
Published July 25th, 2005 in Misc, Photography
One of the most popular groups on flickr is the squared circle group where anyone can post pictures which meet a couple of simple requirements – they are square and they bound a circular object. Krazydad’s written some scripts which use the flickr API to extract pictures from this group which have an appropriate Creative Commons licence and then built then into a couple of astounding mosaics. To top it off, he’s arrange to have these posters printed up and is selling them on at cost. So if you want a piece of unique collaborative art, check out the orders page. As you’ve probably guessed, there a couple of snaps of mine amongst the thousands.
