Distributed Transactions
Published July 28th, 2005 in ArchitectureWhile I don’t really want to turn this into a linkblog style site, I find myself posting my second link of the night. This article by Gregor Hohpe contains a great analogy for distributed, loosely coupled systems which is close to home for me ATM since I’m currently working out the architecture for just such a system.
Wah, that’s freaky, I read that article just last night in “The Best Software Writing I: Selected and Introduced by Joel Spolsky”.
Don’t tell me that’s how you discovered it too, that would be way too unreal!
Yes, well kind of. I’ve watched the book developing in the JOS forums and I’ve bookmarked the introduction page. Every so often I pick a title from the list of articles and google for it. Yeah, I know it’s cheap, but then so’s a book which is simply a collection of freely available articles.
